I remember the day my husband was told that he had Fuchs’ Dystrophy. The potential for blindness and no information about this condition caused many sleepless nights.
Then the Corneal Dystrophy Foundation was formed. As President of the Board of Directors, my job is the governance of this organization. My career in the financial industry, gives me a background and experience in Compliance, Transparency and Management.
As a recipient of The Jack Richter Award “for a career distinguished through exemplary personal achievements, service to the community, and my clients.” The recognition was in part due to the work I have done thru The Corneal Dystrophy Foundation. This highest honor was received from The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Silicon Valley.
Our family has two Fuchs’ members with successful outcomes. I do not have this genetic condition.
